Detroit Region SCCA's August RallyCross School presented by Gearhead Homes, Accelerated Kontrol Dynamics, and Kraken Concepts Racing will take place on Saturday, August 1st at Auto City Speedway in Clio, MI.
This school is aimed at newcomers who want to learn the basics of the sport and is open to participants of all skill levels. There will be a classroom session that will cover event procedures, SCCA RallyCross rules and classing, vehicle preparation, and basic RallyCross driving techniques. During the classroom portion, each student will be paired with an instructor for the duration of the school.
Each instructor will take their student(s) for a guided course walk and ride along laps in the student's vehicle or their own vehicle. Following instructor laps, the students will be given a session to drive their own vehicle on the same course. Following this session, the course will be reversed to give students a "new" course to run on.
School Schedule:
Registration & Tech Open: 9:30 am
Classroom session begins: 10:00 am
Instructor course walk: 11:00 am
Instructor ride along laps: 11:30 am
Lunch served: 12:30 pm
Student runs begin: 2:00 pm
Student runs end: 5:00 pm
