Cal Club Practice & Champ Days December 6-7

Storm Stadium - Lake Elsinore

About this event

Our last event of the 2025 Season is a two-day, on December 6th and 7th, at Storm Stadium in Lake Elsinore, CA

We'll be running a standard Practice day on Saturday, with a guaranteed 12 runs; on Sunday we'll run Points in the morning with 4 runs; additional afternoon Practice will be available for purchase as well.
Alternately, sign up for a full Sunday Practice, which nets you 12 runs across the day!

Note that entries are limited. Saturday will only have 75 spots, and Sunday Practice will only have 60. Don't miss out!

Autocross is a timed competition that challenges drivers to a course marked by cones laid out on an asphalt parking lot or a concrete aircraft runway. Safety is emphasized because cars enter the course one at a time and are spaced out to minimize risks to competitors and event workers. A key emphasis is placed on handling and car control, which breeds some of the most intense competition down to the hundredth or thousandth of a second! Learn more about us at solo2.com.

Cal Club Autocross is sanctioned by the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA). The event open to all SCCA members. If you’re not an SCCA member, don't worry – during the online registration process, you can buy a weekend membership (and that fee can be applied towards an annual membership).

Saturday Practice — December 6th, 2025

  • 12 timed runs are included with your registration. Most people get 14-16 runs!
  • You'll be working a 1-hour work assignment per session (one morning, one afternoon). If you'd like to be exempt from working, talk to us about volunteering for alternate work assignments. This includes course setup, changeover, and many others.

Sunday Points Event 10 + Practice — December 7th, 2025

Please don't let the "competition" part of our events intimidate you, our competition days are novice friendly! It's the same great autocross challenge and fun, the only difference for Points events is that times are saved. We have free instruction and guided course walks available to help you get into the game quickly!

  • 4 competition runs are included with your registration. If you'd like to get extra value for the money, tack on Afternoon practice!
    • Alternately, sign up as a Practice entry and get 12 runs.
  • You'll be performing one work assignment per session registered – if you register for Afternoon practice, you'll do 2 assignments.

Special Requirements for Champ Day competition

Car Numbers and Class Letters Required for Champ Day

Click here for the complete SCCA National Rules

Autocross Vehicle Number

Everyone is welcomed to sign up and run on Champ Day! In order to score points towards a year end class Trophy, you must have a current 2025 Points card that includes your own permanent car number (available for purchase online here). To check if a particular car number is available for purchase, check out our Annual Number Listings. A points card costs $20 for each calendar year. Cards purchased the last three months of any calendar year will also be valid the following calendar year.

If you do not have a Annual Number, you can absolutely still run in competition, but you must register with a 6xx number on a first come, first served basis. If you have already have magnets or vinyl numbers for your vehicle and you'd like to reuse them at our event rather than using blue tape, you can convert your existing number by placing a one "1" and the appropriate number of zeros in front of your existing number to create a four digit 1xxx number. This request can be accommodated at registration check in only. (For example: If you have magnets for number number 98, you may ask to register for number 1098).

Classing your Car

Classes are based off your car and its modifications. This nifty website is a good starting place to determine what class your car should be in. If you don’t know how to class your car, just email us! Worst case, we can help you re-class your car on the day of the event.

If you are a newcomer with fewer than 4 events in each of the last 3 years, you qualify to enter into our Novice class to compete with others of similar skill.
