So, Uh, What's this Novice/Rookie Stuff?
Good question! Our Novice class is for those just getting started in performance driving. Our novice team is available to help you get fast, faster!
Rookie is for those with 1-2 years of experience who want to start competing against those of similar experience.
Event requirements

Gates Open: 6:30 AM
Registration: 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM - $5.00 On-Site Registration Fee
Tech Inspection: 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM
LATE ARRIVALS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO RUN.
Novice Walks: Listen for announcements
Drivers Meeting: 9:30 AM
First Car Out: 10:15 AM
NEW FOR 2026 – Vehicle Recovery Expectation
With large event attendance and tight schedules, timely vehicle recovery is essential to keeping the event running smoothly for everyone.
All competitors are asked to have a plan for removing their vehicle from course in the event of a mechanical issue.
Established drivers (more than three events):
Drivers should have a workable method to tow or recover their vehicle if needed.
- Any method of towing or recovery is acceptable.
- The specific approach is up to the driver.
- If hardware or tools are required, they may be kept in grid, but should be capable of being installed and ready for use within two (2) minutes once the vehicle is reached.
- The goal is simply that recovery can occur promptly and without unnecessary delay to the event.
New drivers:
Drivers within their first three regional events will be given time to become familiar with this expectation.
Enforcement:
If a driver cannot demonstrate a workable recovery method when needed, the vehicle may be unable to continue competition and the driver may receive a DNF for all runs for the day at the discretion of the Event Chair.
