Please bring your military ID or other proof of service to the event. (Instructors and workers, excepted.)
Join the Washington DC Region SCCA for our "Helmets Off To Heroes" High Performance Driving Event (HPDE) on November 11th on the Summit Point Shenandoah Circuit, located at Summit Point WV.
HOTH is an all day event to give Veterans and Active Duty military an enjoyable experience at the track and learn basic high performance car skills at a comfortable pace in normal street cars. Non-modified street cars are the perfect car for this event! All experience levels are welcome, from those that have never been on track to experienced drivers, we have a driving group for you. Any driver with no or minimal track experience will have a licensed SCCA HPDE instructor in-car with them all day. If you have any questions, please email HPDEinfo@wdcr-scca.org.

A few important notes:
- Summit Point services (food, fuel, etc) are all cashless.
- WV RT 340 in the Harper's Ferry area (a common route to Summit Point) will be closed during this event, pick your route accordingly. (https://us340harpersferry.com/)

Event requirements

Open cars (convertibles, retractable or removable hardtop) must have an after-market roll bar installed that meets SCCA TT Level 2 safety requirements. See the Supplements Document in the Event Information Directory for details (link above). Exceptions are approved only on a case-by-case basis, contact our Tech Lead, Louis (lalessi43@gmail.com), prior to registration to request an exception.
A basic Tech Inspection of your car must be completed before attending the event (you can self tech your car if you're familiar with all the needed inspections). A completed Tech Inspection Form must be provided during the sign-in process the day of the event. The Tech Inspection Form can be found in the Event Information Directory (see link above).
